Missions

Ministry Leader
Kim Restagno

It has been said that missions is the heartbeat of God. Jesus gave a command that is known as “The Great Commission.” “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel” is one of four areas of primary focus and ministry of our congregation. When many people in our society are asking “what am I going to receive?” We are a people asking “what can I give?”

FOF emphasizes not only the financial support of missions, but actually going to the nations themselves. We have been called to impact nations through the gift of helps, prayer, teaching and apostolic impartation. We have helped build churches and lead conferences to strengthen the hands of the local people. At the present time we have sent teams to minister in the nations of Brazil, Peru, El Salvador, and Nigeria. We support missionaries in the United States as well as many other nations of the world.

The call to the nations has only begun at FOF. In 2006 there are calls to go to London, England, Brazil, Columbia, Hong Kong, Iquitos, Peru and other states in our own nation. Our goal is to train and equip people who have a passion to go and impart to others a kingdom message of deliverance and healing through the love of Jesus Christ.

Intercession

MINISTRY LEADER –
Judy Cook

The apostle Paul commanded the early Christians to pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—(Eph. 6:18). Intercession is more than simple prayer. To intercede is to place oneself in the middle of the battle between the enemy and the one needing help. It is an act of self-less sacrifice, for no personal gain. Intercession identifies one with the person of Jesus Christ. Therefore He (Jesus) is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them (Heb. 7:25).

At FOFCC intercession is the oil to the engine that moves our congregation. The same cry of God through the prophet Ezekiel is being sounded today. So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one (Ezek. 22:30). God is waiting on someone to step up and fight the battle on His behalf. As David cried out to the armies of Israel, “Is there not a cause?”

We at FOFCC have made an effort to answer the call to pray. Our desire is to some day have 24/7 prayer, intercession and worship rising from the house of God. We have been blessed with many who have great knowledge and experience in the area of intercession. We believe that God is restoring the tabernacle of David (see Acts 15:16).

Come and join with us as we go beyond the veil and seek His face on behalf of the nations! As has been said, “History is in the hands of the intercessor!”
